Privacy Policy for Orbit

Last updated: 6 August 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Orbit (“the App”), published by Lee Bailey / WYBC (“we”, “us”), handles information when you use the Orbit / Orbit Sampler iOS and iPadOS application.

Summary

Orbit is a music sampler. We do not run our own user accounts, analytics, or advertising trackers in the App. Purchases are handled by Apple. Audio you record or import stays on your device unless you choose to share it.

Information we collect

The App may process the following categories of data:

We do not sell personal information.

Microphone

If you grant microphone permission, Orbit uses the mic (or an attached audio interface) only to record audio into pads or mixes at your request. Audio is processed and stored on your device. We do not stream microphone audio to our own servers.

Bluetooth

If you use wireless MIDI controllers, Orbit may use Bluetooth to connect to those devices. Connection data stays on your device for that purpose.

In-app purchases

Unlock Orbit is a one-time Non-Consumable purchase processed by Apple. Apple’s privacy policy applies to App Store account and payment data: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Data storage and sharing

Project and sample files remain on your device (and any backups you make, such as iCloud device backup, subject to Apple’s terms). The App does not upload your projects to an Orbit-operated cloud service. If you use Share / export features, you choose where files go (Files, Mail, etc.).

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
